Since I have rediscovered this forum and am trying to catch up on all new things since my last visit in search of an easy, simple server middleware solution, I thought I'd contribute to the knowledge bank of free stuff!

Oh nice! I always loved the structure of ImpactJS, and actually considered the structure of Impact to be much friendlier for large-scale games than Phaser. Phaser wins in pretty much every other category. Maybe now that it is open source someone will mash-up both of them so we can get the best of both worlds.

This has been a long time coming. Thanks for the news!

Wow, did you see his the author's blog post on the site? It is quite honest. He essentially said that he didn't feel good about taking money for the engine when it hadn't been updated since 2014 and when it didn't support WebGL.
