Someone said it was limited without the scripting language. I just want to say if you ever saw the stuff Don and Jojoface used to do. It wasn't really that limited before the Ruby on Rails scripting language. It just took a lot longer and alot of creativity.

Hola mis amigos! (no, i dont speak fluent spanish ;) )

i noticed this thread kinda died out, so here I am, reviving it for two main reasons:

1. I personally think that RPG Maker (XP) is a fantastic tool for creating games

2. After reading through the replies to this thread, it seems a lot of people have the misconception that RPG Maker is a very restricted tool for creating games. Presently, I am creating a new, innovative pokemon game to blow the other ones out of the water, and with what program? RPG Maker! There are few limitations when it comes to this program, and that is the new objective of the game i am creating, to show what can be done with a little bit of imagination, effort, and creativity! You can check out the game as it comes along the development process in the Project Tier I section. So never forget, the sky is the limit, especiall with a little bit of imagination :)

glad you are getting things done with it. RPG maker will always hold a special place on my PC for it was one of the first makers I really got in depth with, well it was RPG maker 95 , more of a tactics style one but regardless it is a great little tool.
