Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
I actually have 4 browsers installed (5 if you count Edge and IE separately), Chrome, FF (Quantum), Opera and Edge/IE. I use each one for it's specific purpose, but maybe I'll start to question "why is Chrome life?" and maybe I'll find out that it isn't that much. I think I say this becaus...

Re: Refreshed and ready , community project?
Although I enjoy the idea, it feels impossible due to personal time and motivation constraints (on everybody). What I mean is like, lets say we started an RPG community game. We set everything up, 10,20,30,50 members wanna participate, that's cool. But then, 30% don't really enjoy RPG's. 10% want th...

Re: Heading to Hawaii
Hope you have a good time! But....I wonder if this is why the bots chose now to completely fill the "Say Hello!" forum with pages and pages of spam threads. Ugh. Sorry about this guys! I will work on this and try to get it cleaned out. But it looks like there may be hundreds of them. I th...

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
I tried, it didn't help, I ERASED everything besides history and nothing. Haven't tried using a different browser like some say, since Chrome is life.
I get that, but that didn't happen in my network, when it happens usually I delete the user right away.

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
What I mean't is that on other devices I didn't get the same message. When I searched for it there were some users reporting that this only happened in chrome and if you used another browser you could login just fine. So this goes against the "you have malware" bullsh*t they are trying to ...

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
Oh....okay so this is a real thing. I should have probably actually done some Googling on the specific messages it was giving. It really is an attempt to prevent malware from spreading through Facebook which is pretty smart, actually. Apparently if you do your own malware scan, clean up stuff it fi...

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
But the media wouldn't be outraged if they aren't tech savvy either
Yeah, to my knowledge this only happened to one friend of mine and that's it. Oh well.. can't wait to see facebook go down.

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
Nah, I'm not sure that would cause a mass-exodus. Not everyone has tech knowledge to know what's happening when you download their tool. 99% of people will just download it to get in as soon as possible. And maybe they are doing some bucket-testing (A-B testing) and see the reactions and what happens.

Re: Facebook Malware SCAM
Because there would be no money in that. Social networks make their money off of ads. But just seeing ads doesn't pay enough. They have to show ads you may actually click on, and they use your social network data to try to figure out what that is. A social network did actually try to make a "n...
