How soon is too soon to open an in development game?
Should an Alpha version be released so players can give feedback while a game is developing (assuming you have something that is playable, stable, and secure), or is it better to wait until something is more polished? I've seen so many gamers complain and give bad reviews about games in an alpha or ...

Looking for easy but secure forum software with SSO
I'm trying to figure out which might be the best forum software in terms of price (preferably free as I don't have a lot of disposable income), security, and ease for registration and login from a game without having to login twice separately on the forum too. Maybe it doesn't exist, or maybe someon...

Re: Just got back from watching the eclipse!
I used a telescope to project the sun onto a foam whiteboard, and used that to look at the eclipse. It worked out great, you could see sunspots on the projected image. We didn't have totality where I lived, but we got to about 85% coverage. I think it was better than glasses because with glasses the...

Re: Hack your game to fix security issues: Subgraph Vega
Kesstryl, thanks for your reply. So you upload to your public folder like http://www.yourdomain.com/vega/ and then point your browser to it? No, it's a separate installation, and there are instructions for getting your browser to work with the port that the application uses so the application can p...

Re: Hack your game to fix security issues: Subgraph Vega
Interesting. This is run via browser http or in SSL? I had to run it in http because for some reason I can't get the SSL certificate link to work, but it's easy to reset your browser to not use its proxy after you are done. I had the SSL problem with one of the other scanners too, but at least this...

Re: HP Destiny (again)
Chatting is always great. I really love your wand selection page though, it has that really old school game feel where these kinds of questions put the RP back into RPG, lol. I'm thinking of games like The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall where they had questions which you answered which created your charac...

Hack your game to fix security issues: Subgraph Vega
I tried installing several different vulnerability scanners, and this one was the only one that worked right out of the box for me. The application works by scanning your game, and trying to insert hacks to see if it can perform XSS and other types of hacking, then it shows a report of the security ...

Re: Layout issue
Sweet! What was it? I just made links, and here's the code I went with $clans = doquery($link, "SELECT * FROM {{table}}", "clan"); while($list = mysqli_fetch_array($clans)) { $id = $list["id"]; $name = $list['name']; $message = $list['message']; $page .="<tr class...
