Re: C++ IDE
Granted, VS does dull quite a bit when working with C++. It really shines above all else when working in .NET. When working with ANSI C++, it drops it down to just a good IDE, since you lose about 75% of code completion outside of .NET among other reasons. No, yes VS is a great IDE in a lot of ways...

Re: C++ for the web?
I can use C++ for the WEB? I'd definitely use that! Why would I not want to work with C++ in a web-environment? It's fast ( as any other ) and I know it pretty decent ( "know it" ), besides I get what I pay for and nothing more, which is a principle take to my heart. Well, a pretty good r...

Back again after 3 years(ish)
Last time I visited IR it was back in the days ( 2010 ) and I was an aspiring young developer/coder, my main focus back then was C# with some minor skills in PHP and JavaScript. Re: C++ IDE
Personally I'm done with Visual Studio after using it for a few years. I'm not ever going back ( unless I really have too ). Visual Studio ( Express ) do come with a ton of bloatware that I'm just not that interested in nor can I decline the installation on my computer for some cosmic reason. I'll g...

Re: Browser Based HoMM3 Clone?
@hallsofvallhalla: That is good and bad news i guess, bare with me since this is going to get a bit off topic. The bad news is that it will be harder for me to make a HoMM3 Clone type of game the good part is that it will be easier to make some kind of Online "Final Fantasy Tactics" kind o...

Well I'd like an Engine to have 2D and 3D support.Jackolantern wrote:It seems odd they wouldn't even mention 2D support in their laundry list of features. Go figure
With Unity3D it would go far in the Webplayer games with 2D.
