Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
What do you mean "it only shows a few lines of PHP"? It shouldn't be showing any PHP in the browser. Do you mean it only shows a few lines of the resulting HTML? If so, what is the last thing the browser shows before it silently fails? That can be a good indicator of where the issue is. I...

Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
Are you having a problem with putting your connect.php there? I see no problem with it. And always remember to put your code inside code tags. It allows others to quickly review the non-code parts of the post and determine what the question is without it getting lost in a sea of code! here i...

Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
One of the nice things about PHP is that you can open PHP tags and do anything you want in any place. Just be sure that if the page is saved as a .html file you change it to a .php. It needs a .php extension even if it just has one line of PHP. Some people use the include() method to insert blocks ...

Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
Very cool :) I have a question for you. Can I use the (include command) to connect to the connect.php inside the body tag of the type of a document ? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html x...

Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
Did you watch the video I linked you? It should be exactly the same on Vista, since it is only dealing with the files WAMP installed, and does not deal with any OS things. I did watch number one and two of the tutorial videos. However, I did not see any other link. In the first video it showed unch...

Re: Hints and tips on creating a browser base game
Try this . You just need to change the permissions. NOTE: Instead of using "Allow from all" right off the bat like it suggests in the video, first try changing it to "Allow from 127.0.0.1". This will allow the localhost (your computer) to access it. I believe that line is...
